Corporate Partnerships & Communications Manager (Hybrid)

Feeding Georgia is a nonprofit organization comprised of seven regional Feeding America affiliate food banks that work with more than 2,000 partner agencies - collectively distributing more than 170 millions of pounds of food throughout Georgia to 133 counties.  At Feeding Georgia, we assist the food banks in their work by collaborating on strategic issues, advocating and educating on their behalf, and coordinating statewide efforts to help to secure more nutritious food & funds. Together, we lead a statewide effort to end hunger in Georgia.

Position Description:

Feeding Georgia’s Corporate Partnerships & Communications Manager is responsible for managing corporate and industry-based partnerships that include digital marketing/giving campaigns and special events that currently generate more than $1,000,000 annually with the potential to grow.  To support this work, they develop and execute communications and marketing strategies to drive brand awareness about our mission and network impact with key audiences.    

This role requires a highly strategic communicator who is enthusiastic about meeting new people and has demonstrated the ability to cultivate and grow relationships/partnerships.  The individual in this position has the opportunity to travel across the state to meet with C suite partners and food bank teams and to represent Feeding Georgia at meetings and conferences. Feeding Georgia is a small but mighty team, and the individual in this position must be experienced and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.  This position also manages the work of a contract Social Media firm and Public Relations Firm that support our partnerships and campaigns.     

This is a hybrid position offering some remote/home work flexibility after 90 day onboarding.  It requires 25% travel to events and meetings in the metro Atlanta area and around the state including some overnight travel. 

The primary responsibilities of the Corporate Partnerships and Communications Manager include: 

Lead and grow statewide industry-focused partnerships that include digital marketing/fundraising competitions that engage corporate entities in two-week online peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns; currently including:

Georgia Legal Food Frenzy (legal industry) in partnership with the Office of the Attorney General and the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar Georgia Accounting Food Fight (accounting industry) with the Georgia Society of CPAs Lead and grow Feeding Georgia’s signature dinner fundraising special event, the Wild Hog Supper, that kicks off the Georgia Legislative Session and celebrates our partnership with the Agriculture industry. Maintain and build relationships with our existing statewide corporate partners and food bank members for each campaign to grow the competitions.  Cultivate new partnerships.  Develop communications strategy and work with public relations firm and social media contractor to oversee the creation of all communications for the organization including promotion of these campaigns; including emails and letters on the behalf of statewide partners, press releases, social media content, website content, donor recognition, etc.  Support other functions as needed including Advocacy events at the State Legislature or new projects as opportunities are vetted.      

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree.   Preferred studies: Communications, Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management

Required Qualifications

At least five years of work experience with demonstrated success with sales, relationship management, corporate partnerships, fundraising/development or community engagement. Strong presentation, storytelling, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven success and enthusiasm for relationship building with clients/donors/corporate partners in order to understand their needs and create partnerships that grow over time.  The successful candidate will have experience with:  Classy or similar peer-to-peer/crowdfunding fundraising platforms CRM software (Hubspot, Salesforce) Social media platforms High proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Docs This is a full-time position.  The employee must live in the greater Atlanta region and maintain a valid drivers license with the ability to travel to work sites within and outside of Georgia as needed up to 25% of their time.

Physical Demands

Feeding Georgia's offices are co-located with the Atlanta Community Food Bank at 3400 N Desert Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30344.  This hybrid position has the opportunity for some remote/home work flexibility after a 90 day onboarding period.  Employee must have a home office environment that is free from distractions during the working day.  There may be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending; listening, talking, and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter the physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 10 pounds; however, lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs will be required when conducting off-site information fairs. There may be periods of standing and talking for 1-3 hours at a time.

Starting Salary: $65,000 with performance bonus opportunity.  Benefits include employer-paid healthcare plan that includes health, vision and dental for the employee.  Family members can be added to the plan at the employee’s expense.  15 days vacation, 10 days sick leave plus 12 holidays each year.  Simple IRA with 3% company match
