4. UTILIZE FORMAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGIES TO TRACK PROJECT TIMELINES, MILESTONES, AND CRITICAL PATH
DEADLINES
Purpose of Position
TO SUPPORT PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS TO BRING INNOVATION TO MARKET FASTER IN A MORE EFFECTIVE AND
EFFICIENT MANNER. THE PROJECT MANAGER I WILL ACT AS A HUB OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT WORKING CROSS FUNCTIONALLY W/
MULTIPLE INTERNAL DEPTS. AND MULTIPLE EXTERNAL RESOURCES TO GET PRODUCTS TO MARKET. THE POSITION NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO
SEE THE BIG PICTURE AS WELL AS LEAD THE PROJECT DETAILS.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, manager, and the public.
? Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues.
? Responsible for reading, understanding, and following Quality Business Systems documentation for each
function performed.
? Responsible for working in compliance with Quality Systems Regulations (QSR), safety, and all other
training.
Project Management
? Responsible for guiding innovation initiatives (new product development, line extensions, package changes,
etc.) from initial conception to launch.
? Work across multiple departments acting as the hub of all functional teams including: Innovation, R&D,
Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, Documentation, Regulatory Assurance, and outside
contract manufacturers.
? Lead multiple projects simultaneously, assembling individual project teams & utilizing formal project
management methodologies including tracking software such as MS Project or similar in addition to MS
Teams & OneNote.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

? Develop, manage, track project timelines, milestones, agenda, follow-up notes, risk profiles, and supply &
assign cross-functional tasks.
? Schedule and run weekly / monthly project meetings to communicate project status and milestones to key
partners and ensure teams are accountable to complete tasks at hand.
? Maintain relationships and act as the “activist” role in overcoming obstacles and keeping projects
progressing through the Stage Gate process.
? Ensure all projects and initiatives are handled through the project and documentation management
system, QCBD. Work alongside RA to ensure Design Control deliverables are being met and Phase 0 – 4
Design Reviews are on time.
Safety
? Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and
recommending corrective actions when necessary.
? Responsible for performing Safety Audits of the R&D lab on a quarterly basis.
? Responsible for understanding chemical hazards and interactions.
? Responsible for utilizing proper lifting, material movement, and instrumentation safety techniques at all
times.
Process Improvements
? Adhere to and support Corporate Policies and Procedures.
? Actively works to improve processes in the company and its relationship to the community.
? Performs all other related job duties as assigned by the Director of R&I and Mix.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under general supervision of the Director of Science & Innovation
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBLITIES:
No direct reports. Delegation of tasks to project team members not under your direct supervision.

? Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
? 3+ yrs of new product development and execution experience in CPG, cosmetic, medical device,
food, beverage, or pharmaceutical required, FDA environment a definite plus.
? Proficient in relevant project management software and/or Microsoft Project required.
? CMP certification or related beneficial.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
? ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH.
JUDGMENT/REASONING ABILITY:
? STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE BOLD TIMELINES.
? ABILITY TO SUPPORT MULTIPLE PROJECTS CONCURRENTLY AND PRIORITIZE PROJECTS ALONG WITH ONGOING AD-HOC REQUESTS
AND/OR INITIATIVES.
? DEMONSTRATED TOP NOTCH ORGANIZATION SKILLS, AND CONFIRMED ABILITY TO GUIDE PROCESSES, WHILE DEVELOPING CREATIVE
