The Role

As the Squad Leader for DC Administration Client Actions, you blend defined contributions benefits knowledge, leadership, and product development expertise with a passion for delivering results. As the Squad Leader you are the end-to-end gatekeeper of the squad mission, strategy, and tactical execution. In an agile structure, you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to influence the broader strategic decisions, roadmaps and resource requirements with a specific eye on individual client needs. You will lead two squads responsible for the delivery of time-sensitive client requests while enforcing team specific guidelines. You will ensure alignment on the \u201Cwhat\u201D and \u201Cwhen\u201D work is to be performed through ongoing planning and prioritization of a product backlog. You will enable squad members to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. Dedication to developing your own expertise and knowledge ensures you bring the latest thinking to your role.

  • Providing leadership for two squads focused on mainframe recordkeeping platform deliverables and collaborating closely with other squads

  • Defining, refining, and communicating the squads' mission and roadmap to motivate and build team and partner support and alignment

  • Collaboration and alignment with the DC Administration Group Squad Leader and peer Squad Leaders to anticipate, discover through ongoing interaction with, and prioritize client and partner needs to serve as their voice and guide execution of the team

  • Defining, evaluating, and communicating results against acceptance criteria; engaging with stakeholders regularly to share progress

  • Inspecting and evaluating progress, and removing impediments

  • Measuring performance against established objectives and key metrics that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results

  • Making informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines

  • Ensure products and services are available, stable, performant and supported when required

  • Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Master to build squad capacity and capability and enabling squad member growth, development and learning

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor s degree required

  • 7+ years of proven experience in agile delivery, product management or development

  • Financial services and/or benefits administration experience, including familiarity with the regulatory environment, preferred

  • Experience designing, developing and maintaining dynamic products and solutions

  • Jira and Jira Align experience preferred

  • Take a data-focused approach to understanding customer needs, translate strategic objectives into action, and prioritize to improve value delivered

  • Grasp sophisticated product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria and optimally communicate these

  • A strong focus on execution and identify, communicate and remove impediments to progress

  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues without formal authority, and have a track record of building high-performing teams

  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration experience with customers, business counterparts and technology partners

  • Continuously improve and encourage an agile way of working

  • Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work collaboratively across Fidelity to deliver business outcomes and seek out the expertise of colleagues to advise on your approach

  • You are intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
