Company Overview

Seoul Semiconductor, Inc. develops and commercializes light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for automotive, general illumination, specialty lighting, and backlighting markets.


Our Automotive Division is looking for a self-motivated, energetic and results-oriented Sales Account Manager for LED components. An individual who can manage and grow the Automotive LED Lighting customer base within the North American marketplace with his/her expertise in the fields of Automotive LED Lighting systems.


This position is based in the Detroit, Michigan Metropolitan area.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with customers efficiently to meet their needs and understanding their requirements
  • Ensure highest possible level of customer satisfaction while maximizing sales and profitability
  • Forecasting and revenue tracking
  • Market and customer analysis
  • Price negotiation per project and end of year
  • New product introduction and promotion at your customer
  • First contact point for commercial, technical, quality, logistical topics of your customer
  • Manage one or more Tier 1 Global Accounts overseeing sales and design in activities at customer and partner locations worldwide
  • Create, develop and manage strategic relationship at customer side, from tactical to executive level
  • Develop and grow business leveraging value based selling approach
  • Establish strategic account planning, defining long-term objectives for key customer(s) with input and support of business unit and relevant stakeholder
  • Communicate routinely and proactively with internal teams 
  • Utilize effective presentation and command skills within customer and internal meetings
  • Proactively take responsibility for follow up on meeting actions and holds team accountable
  • Analyze business to identify areas of strong performance and those needing improvement
  • Develop new business opportunities


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and/or Engineering field
  • Fluency in English. Other language depending on the account
  • Experience with automotive processes (quality, commercial, and logistics)
  • Basic understanding of and experiences in LED lighting applications and LED technology
  • Have the availability to frequent traveling to customer visits, events, training domestically and internationally.
  • Proven track record in Semiconductor Sales Account management, preferably for LEDs in automotive
  • Ability to represent the company in a highly professional manner over the phone, video call or face-to-face
  • Value based selling skills and competences
  • Customer focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic team player with ethos of high performance
  • Flexible with ability to adapt to change in a highly dynamic work environment
  • Ability to manage own time and multi-task combined with strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal & intercultural skills, with customers as well as with peers and business partners internally
