Are you an Accounts Payable Specialist with a knack for project coordination and administrative support? We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and driven individual for an Accounts Payable Specialist position in the Construction Industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, payment processing, and record keeping.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payment for all construction projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including data entry, file management, and report generation.
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests, sort, code and match invoices, set invoices up for payment.
  • Track expenses and process expense reports, prepare and perform check runs.
  • Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records, reconcile accounts payable transactions.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, produce monthly reports.
  • Assist with month end closing, provide supporting documentation for audits.

Qualifications:
  • Associates/Bachelors degree is a nice to have
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred, but NOT required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
