The ideal candidate will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, oversee inventory control processes, and manage working capital effectively. The position demands strong collaboration across various departments and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the cost accounting framework and inventory management. Identify and implement enhancements to the system in response to product and cost fluctuations.
  • Support additional financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and month-end financial closings.
  • Conduct internal cost variance assessments and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Evaluate collected data and maintain detailed records of findings.
  • Examine modifications in goods or services to assess their impact on overall costs.
  • Review manufacturing and selling, general, and administrative (SG&A) expenses, generating regular reports that compare estimated costs with actual production expenditures, while pinpointing cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Estimate costs for new and proposed products based on engineering routings.
  • Generate reports that detail and compare elements influencing pricing and profitability of products or services.
  • Manage periodic physical inventory counts and oversee the inventory cycle count initiative.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities, special projects, and business analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong background in cost accounting systems.
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and manage pressure effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
