Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role administrative assistant to support our staff of five accounting professionals. Must be attentive, adaptive and responsive to an array of directives and tasks. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn new skills. Growth potential in accounting field.
Bookkeeping duties include, but not limited to: weekly bill-pay for both the firm and clients, payroll processing for clients, daily deposits for the firm, monthly reconciliation of checking and credit cards for clients, annual 1099 preparation for clients, support the firm accountants on varying items; especially during deadline months, etc.
Administrative duties include, but not limited to: primary to answer the phone, scheduling appointments, daily mail pickup for several clients (within walking distance), assist clients with portal uploads, client follow-up for missing tax documents, greet clients coming in, ordering supplies, filing, and other general office duties.
Someone with a positive, upbeat attitude and sense of humor will do well in our office environment. We are proud of our close relationships with our clients and our ability to make them feel welcome. Candidate should be computer savvy and present professionally by telephone, in writing, and in person. More importantly you must have the ability to handle a fast-paced environment from January to April. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Those with QuickBooks experience will be considered first.
