Role Purpose  

Creates and manages content across multiple digital platforms, all in service of advancing Open Society brand, advocacy, and issues.

Key Responsibilities

Creates and manages content for digital platforms, working across Communications to shape stories and messaging into content optimized for engagement across web, social, and email

Works closely with project team leads to define and execute content strategy aligned with project objectives and target audiences

Collaborates with geographically dispersed teams of copywriters and creatives on content development

Pitches and develops video and multimedia storytelling, working with internal stakeholders and managing external partners on production

Maintains editorial voice and establishes best practices across digital properties

Manages digital projects and initiatives as needed in coordination with other teams and outside vendors/agencies/partners

Implement best practices for content quality and performance optimization.

Qualifications

Essential :

University degree or equivalent experience

Desirable:

Experience 

Essential :

Substantial experience working in digital communications with a proven track record in project management across multiple projects 

Broad experience working with contact and content management systems and social media publishing platforms

Experience writing and managing content for large, global properties and accounts

Superior writing and editing skills (in English) and experience producing and managing digital content, including messaging and short form social media content

Expertise in building and managing a social platform strategy, content calendaring, and audience engagement

Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data from various sources, such as web analytics, social media platforms, email campaigns, and paid media

Desirable:

Experience managing video and multimedia content production

Experience with HTML and CSS
