Drive Auto is looking for an experienced regional sales manager with deep expertise in the operations and digital marketing needs of the automotive industry. Experience with selling advertising or marketing to local Tier 3 dealerships is needed, and experience with regional Tier 2 associations is beneficial. Existing contacts within the auto industry are highly desired. We are looking for closers with a proven record of developing business in the category, creating strategic business plans, experience working with matrixed teams, extensive digital marketing skills, and accurately forecasting revenue. The winning candidate will design and implement revenue growth strategies for assigned markets, as well as monetize opportunities outside of the local sales offices. Creating solid partnerships both internally and externally are keys to success in this position. This position is a remote role and based in either Mountain or Pacific time zones.
Specific Duties Include:
Create business strategy and annual plan that supports strategic goals and initiatives Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, existing clients, and automotive prospects within assigned markets Maintain consistent presence within assigned markets, and act as a player/coach with in-person and webinar sales presentations with dealership decision makers Create custom tailored solutions for clients based on business needs, using existing company capabilities Generate profitable revenue growth via new business, account retention, and upsell efforts Collaborate with team members to ensure sales and service excellence for all key accounts Regularly supply a sales outlook and revenue forecast Overnight travel within assigned markets, up to 50% Perform other related duties as assignedDesired Skills/Experience:
Experience and success communicating and working directly with large automotive dealer groups on identifying and achieving their business goals Experience managing a large, multi-state territory Proven track record of developing and managing people and sales processes in a matrixed organization. Demonstrated success building and maintaining top-tier customer relationships Experience consulting on holistic and technology-driven automotive advertising and marketing strategies, considering all layers of the automotive ecosystem (tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3) Experience in various digital marketing tactics, especially with OTT/CTV, social media marketing, and paid search Extreme attention to detail, impeccable communication skills, and comfort with data-driven story telling Proficient in the use of office software, with Microsoft Teams experience preferred. Excel skills are required. IHS Polk data experience (or similar) is a plus Digital marketing certifications are a plus (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook marketing, Experience working within an automotive dealership is a plusQualifications:
