36 Granada is an innovative and dynamic bar and restaurant featuring two full service restaurants, and two high end craft cocktail bars. We will be known for our deep appreciation of fine wines, craft cocktails, and classic mixology. Our menu features a thoughtful selection of Old and New World wines, expertly crafted cocktails, and in-house creations, including barrel-aged spirits, blending, from-scratch mixers and syrups. We take pride in offering our guests a unique and immersive experience, with a focus on seasonal flavors and high-quality ingredients. 
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled, fun and creative Beverage Manager to join our team. This role is critical in overseeing our beverage program, which will include wine and spirits ordering, cocktail and wine menu development, and the overall guest experience. The Beverage Manager will be responsible for managing our bars and ensuring that our offerings are consistently exceptional. Additionally, this position will require the individual to manage restaurant shifts, acting as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and overseeing the day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Beverage Program Management:
     
    • Develop and build a diverse wine list featuring both Old and New World selections. 

    • Create innovative craft cocktails and classic cocktails with a focus on seasonal ingredients. 

    • Experiment with and implement barrel aging techniques, house made bitters, syrups, washes and other modern techniques will be encouraged.

    • Regularly update and refresh the beverage menu to reflect seasonal changes and emerging trends.

    • Create and conduct cocktail and wine classes, taking our guests on a journey, where they learn, interact, and imbibe. 

    • Conduct staff training sessions on wine, spirits, and cocktails to enhance product knowledge and service skills, teaching how to sell using descriptive words that engage the guest and create unique touch points that go well beyond the transaction style of service. 

    • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages served.

  • Inventory and Ordering:
     
    • Manage the inventory of wine, spirits, and bar supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  •  
    • Place orders with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  •  
    • Monitor and control beverage costs to meet budgetary goals.
  •  
  • Shift Management:
     
    • Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during restaurant shifts, overseeing the entire operation.
  •  
    • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to provide exceptional service to guests.
  •  
    • Address guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  •  
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  •  
  • Event and Promotions Management:
     
    • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute beverage-focused events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
  •  
    • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, private parties, and wine/cocktail tastings.
  •  

Qualifications:
 
  • Proven experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, or similar role in a high-end bar or restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail creation, with a strong focus on both Old and New World wines.
  • Experience with barrel aging, from-scratch mixers, creating house-made syrups, bitters, and more. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to oversee a team and manage shifts effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
