What you need to know about the Quality Nurse Specialist position:

The Clinical Quality Management Department focuses on the improvement of clinical practices and process to impact organizational quality and safety patient care outcomes.  The Quality Nurse Specialist position will work with the quality department and external stakeholders to abstract and synthesize data for a trauma registry. Collaborating with other stakeholders, the role will facilitate evidence-based practice change recommendation, identifying gaps in trauma clinical practice, processes, and outcomes to support the trauma performance improvement collaborative. They will serve as a leader in trauma requirements to the quality department and organization.  The base hourly rate for this position is $46.91. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. In this position you will work varying hours based on the needs of the department, and the position is not eligible for benefits.  This position is eligible for remote work, however, there will be times when the position will need to be onsite in Columbus, IN. This position is for a fixed duration (temporary), with a minimum need for 6-9 months' employment. This temporary assignment has the potential to evolve into further employment within the company, but is not guaranteed. The employee will be provided a minimum of 30-days written notice before the end of the assignment, with an indication of either a need for extended temporary employment time, change to permanent status, or the end of employment.

What is required for this position:

Master of Science in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist required. Three or more years clinical experience in acute care required with a focus on trauma. Previous experience with evidence-based practice organizational changes required. Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required. Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification (ACNS-BC) or equivalent professional nursing clinical specialty preferred.
