The Department of Public Service and Administration, Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University Washington D.C. campus invites applications for a part-time, 9-month, Non-Tenure Visiting Associate Professor of Practice, with the possibility of renewal. The anticipated start date is August 2024. The successful candidate will teach courses in the professional Homeland Security Certificate program. Courses taught will include credit-granting graduate courses in Domestic Intelligence and Homeland Security and other elective courses. A reasonable amount of department and professional service will also be expected, concentrated on student engagement at the Bush School D.C. Teaching Site.
This position requires a master’s degree in a social science or related field, significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, and an extensive career in domestic and international intelligence, investigative, and crisis management operations, including leadership experience in national security and emergency management.
