Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) entry-level Human Resources Professional.

The OME Human Resources Support Professional will provide HR support to various programs within the School of Medicine’s Office of Medical Education (OME). This role involves working closely with professional faculty, staff, and students, assuming a range of responsibilities such as communicating with HR teams across the school, creating and filing electronic documents, data entry, and providing administrative support.

Reporting directly to the OME Business Services Manager, this position will also collaborate with the OME HR Senior Professional on various tasks and handoffs. This role offers a valuable opportunity to learn and grow within the Office of Medical Education and on the business services team.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources Liaison/Communication

Build and maintain relationships across various departments and submit HR documentation for faculty, staff, and students to the HR Shared Services team. Collaborate with the Business Services Manager and HR Senior Professional to ensure timely and accurate HR submissions, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and volunteer clinical faculty appointments. Participate in community engagement activities and provide support for planning and executing events, as well as welcoming new hires with professional biographies.

Document Creation and Filing

Develop and route various HR documents such as offers, MOUs, and termination letters using Word, Excel, and Docusign, ensuring proper signatures.. Manage and update electronic contact sheets and databases to track document statuses and facilitate efficient HR processes. Compile and electronically file HR documents in accordance with the university’s record retention policies.

System and Data Entry

Navigate the university’s HR system “HCM”, including inputting and retrieving data and maintaining POI records. Track and update the statuses of volunteer clinical faculty (VCF) appointments in the Office’s databases and to ensure accurate reporting. Human Resources Administrative Support Process badge applications for new hires and volunteer clinical faculty and manage office distribution email lists. Review and upload staff and student timecards into HCM by deadlines and maintain OME organizational charts using Visio software.

Work Location:

Eligible to work a hybrid remote schedule with up to 3 days a week remote. Additional on-site days may be required as needed. Please see the campus-wide policy for additional information.
