Key Responsibilities:
Workforce Management, Training, and Recruitment
- Evaluate staffing needs and collaborate with HR Assistants/Recruiters to:
- Engage with supervisors to determine seasonal staffing requirements.
- Utilize approved recruitment strategies to source candidates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal job posting regulations.
- Manage applicant flow and maintain timely correspondence.
- Conduct phone screenings and schedule interviews.
- Facilitate onboarding and complete necessary hiring documentation.
- Analyze compensation structures to recommend competitive pay rates.
- Track employee records, including promotions and rewards.
- Support ongoing training initiatives for staff.
Compliance and Reporting
- Prepare weekly labor hour reports for management.
- Review and update employee handbooks to align with legal standards.
- Monitor compliance with HR regulations and assist in investigations.
- Maintain employee personnel files and ensure proper documentation flow.
- Provide recommendations for new policies and procedures.
Safety and Workers' Compensation
- Complete necessary documentation for workplace injuries.
- Collaborate with various agencies for safety inspections and compliance.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Participate in the Safety Committee to foster a safe workplace culture.
Payroll and Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary contact for the labor tracking system.
- Manage time-off requests and related paperwork.
- Assist management with employee performance evaluations and coaching.
- Monitor employee morale and conduct stay and exit interviews.
- Facilitate employee benefits enrollment and address inquiries.
Additional Duties:
The HR Generalist may also assist other departments as directed by management, contributing to various operational needs.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related fields.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs as needed.
