Key Responsibilities:

Workforce Management, Training, and Recruitment

  • Evaluate staffing needs and collaborate with HR Assistants/Recruiters to:
  • Engage with supervisors to determine seasonal staffing requirements.
  • Utilize approved recruitment strategies to source candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal job posting regulations.
  • Manage applicant flow and maintain timely correspondence.
  • Conduct phone screenings and schedule interviews.
  • Facilitate onboarding and complete necessary hiring documentation.
  • Analyze compensation structures to recommend competitive pay rates.
  • Track employee records, including promotions and rewards.
  • Support ongoing training initiatives for staff.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Prepare weekly labor hour reports for management.
  • Review and update employee handbooks to align with legal standards.
  • Monitor compliance with HR regulations and assist in investigations.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and ensure proper documentation flow.
  • Provide recommendations for new policies and procedures.

Safety and Workers' Compensation

  • Complete necessary documentation for workplace injuries.
  • Collaborate with various agencies for safety inspections and compliance.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Participate in the Safety Committee to foster a safe workplace culture.

Payroll and Employee Relations

  • Serve as the primary contact for the labor tracking system.
  • Manage time-off requests and related paperwork.
  • Assist management with employee performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Monitor employee morale and conduct stay and exit interviews.
  • Facilitate employee benefits enrollment and address inquiries.

Additional Duties:

The HR Generalist may also assist other departments as directed by management, contributing to various operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related fields.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs as needed.
