We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to provide industrial hardware directly to customers within a defined geographic territory. This role involves cold-calling, prospecting, and building relationships with businesses. The candidate must reside within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and visits to businesses near existing customers.
- Conduct face-to-face sales calls with both cold and warm leads.
- Provide customer service in accordance with company training and standards.
- Submit accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls.
- Present products and services to customers using sample boards, product demos, and the mobile store.
- Ensure the mobile store is clean, well-operated, and effectively marketed.
- Maintain up-to-date customer contact information using company software, including customer notes, names, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses.
- Provide and maintain an approved, fully insured vehicle (mobile store), covering insurance, fuel, and maintenance costs, along with the necessary mobile devices (tablet, iPad, phone) for territory management.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance job-related skills.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Outside industrial sales experience preferred, especially in route or industrial sales. Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications.
- Knowledge of the products we sell is a plus.

Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle (mobile store).
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
- Above-average mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to kneel and bend regularly as part of the job.
- Clean driving history.
- Professional demeanor when representing the company, including driving the approved vehicle, wearing company attire, and attending company functions.
