Summary of Job Duties:

The Compensation Analyst conducts analysis of jobs, hourly wages, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization's pay practices. Makes recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs. Assists in the development of incentive programs and the administration of performance review or merit-rating programs and reviews salary increases for compliance with organization policy and budget.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in education, human resources, business, accounting, budget, finance, or a related area plus three (3) years of compensation, human resources, accounting, financial reporting, or analytics experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience as a UAMS employee.

​ Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes. ​ Ensures PayFactors market data and job descriptions are updated and maintained with current and accurate information. Participates in and/or conducts market surveys, FLSA and Appropriation analysis as well as required state mandated reporting.​ Provides analytical support to assist internal stakeholders in projects. Evaluates classifications and compensation in accordance with university pay practices, guidelines, and compensation structures and systems; assists in creating new job classifications. Provides recommendations for salary grades or market rates for specific jobs through business case reviews and/or Workday related action items. ​Assists in the development of incentive programs and the administration of performance reviews or merit-rating programs. Performs other duties as assigned.
