Proskauer is seeking a dedicated Alumni Relations and Leadership Development Intern with a background in alumni relations, learning and development, and/or program/event management to support the Leadership Development Team in Boston and New York. The Intern will 1) support projects and communications, including drafting and proofing, that strengthen the Firm’s engagement with its attorney alums, 2) organize and coordinate program logistics (including administrative tasks and research for future program ideas), and 3) assist with projects that further the development of Firm attorneys.


Alumni Relations Review, research, and update alumni contact information in Firm’s client relationship management tool Work closely with the Associate Director of Alumni Relations to support internal and external communication efforts, including social media engagement, involving alumni news, events, and value-added offerings Assist in event management and organization of annual alumni panels and office hours for summer associates Support the administrative tasks, coordination, and updates to the alumni communications calendar, including suggesting new ideas/concepts for consideration, and handling gift process for all departing attorneys
Leadership Development Research and maintain a list of prominent trainers and speakers to facilitate innovative and relevant firmwide programs; maintain ideas library for leadership development programs Research industry conferences and networking groups that focus on developing senior executives Assist in event management and organization partner development programs, offered both in-person and virtually Update the partner learning library and resource platform as needed
Women’s Sponsorship Program(WSP) Work closely with the Women’s Initiative Specialist to support the logistical and administrative components of the WSP, including but not limited to drafting program outreach, maintaining program database and information, supporting the application process, etc. Research and identify prominent trainers and facilitators to present relevant programs and coaching and market ideas to further engage and retain women within their firm
Proskauer Women’s Alliance Work closely with the Women’s Initiative Specialist to support communication with PWA co- chairs and Steering Committee members regarding meetings, events, and outreach Program and event research for internal networking and development programs leveraging feedback from PWA co-chairs and steering committee
Programming Logistical support for leadership development programming, includes: Manage calendar invitations and track RSVPs Design event invitations Liaise with necessary event teams (e.g., Audio-Visual, Maintenance, etc.) Create, distribute, and analyze feedback survey
Interest in alumni relations, learning & development, and/or talent management Program/event management High level of attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to always maintain confidentiality Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel


This internship will run from June 3, 2024 through July 26, 2024.

This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $17 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
