Position Summary:
This role is for an outside Sales Representative responsible for managing and growing a sales territory selling engineered pumping equipment and services for consistent growth of ITT Goulds Pumps Industrial Process within Austin Texas and surrounding area. This is accomplished through development of new and existing end-user customers within the territory. Position is responsible for sales planning and achieving an annual sales forecast by meeting growth targets for a set territory.

 

ITT Goulds Pumps is among the most widely recognized and respected brands in the global pump industry, serving customers in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, chemical, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT Goulds Pumps continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.

 

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop customers for increased portfolio sales by consultative selling and solution selling in an effort to meet all territory forecast and growth objectives.

Establish a positive personal relationship with key buying influences at target accounts.

Makes sales presentations to customers demonstrating our capabilities.

Establish and maintain Value Based Commercial Excellence (VBCE) account plans for the territory.

Maintain an E-Quote Log on all open quotes in the territory.

Communicate to Sales Management via a monthly report on competitor information, customer needs, market conditions, issues, successes and sales efforts.

Be available for customer visits to the PRO Services center.

Position Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or combination of education & experience.

Experience:

Mechanical aptitude and interest in mechanical equipment

Training in assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting of pumps

Proven experience selling industrial equipment in the Oil & Gas, chemical, power, or general industry markets is required

Experience in selling repair of rotating equipment

Familiarity with pump and pump hydraulics and selling aftermarket repairs is preferred

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Display high degree of independence and requires little guidance to meet objectives

Connect and Control Technologies (Revenue of $0.6B; headcount of 2,700; operates in 10 countries) manufactures harsh-environment connector solutions, critical energy absorption, flow control components, and composite materials for the aerospace and defense, general industrial, medical, and energy markets.

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.

Equal Pay Act Range:
Annual Salary Range $65,900 to $98,500 plus benefits and commission plans.
