We are growing and seeking full-time and part-time Customer Service Specialists who will help support our clients and applicants with professionalism and accuracy. French language skills are strongly preferred but NOT required.

Role Summary

The Customer Service Specialist provides support to clients, applicants, and internal teams throughout the background-screening process. You will assist with account inquiries, update screening order statuses, resolve service issues, ensure compliance requirements are met, and help maintain the high standards that Accurate C&S Services is known for.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Applicant Support

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all client and applicant inquiries via phone, email, and online portal.
  • Provide updates about background check statuses, documentation requirements, or next steps.
  • Guide clients and applicants through our portal, processes, and service offerings.

Order Processing & Tracking

  • Monitor and manage active background-screening orders in our internal systems.
  • Identify missing documents, resolve discrepancies, and communicate delays proactively.
  • Document all interactions clearly and maintain accurate case notes.

Problem-Solving & Escalation

  • Research and resolve client concerns regarding verifications, criminal records, disputes, or delays.
  • Escalate compliance-related issues (e.g., FCRA disputes, adverse action) to the appropriate internal team.
  • Follow service-level expectations to ensure timely and accurate responses.

Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Follow all internal procedures that support FCRA compliance and privacy protection.
  • Handle sensitive personal data (PII) with discretion and professionalism.

Team Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work with verification, operations, and compliance teams to support smooth workflow.
  • Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, or client education tools.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Experience in the background-screening, HR, staffing, or verification industries.
  • Understanding of screening compliance such as FCRA.
  • French language skills (speaking/reading/writing). We are open to training those who speak French.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of customer service or client support experience.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality working with confidential information.
