Billing Specialist

LHH is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
Verify billing data, including customer contracts, purchase orders, and pricing agreements.
Resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries regarding invoices.
Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and update customer account information as needed.
Process payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure prompt collections.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to streamline billing processes.
Prepare and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes related to billing.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records and reports.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for handling customer interactions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with relevant billing regulations and compliance standards.
Compensation: $25-$32/hour DOE
