Billing Specialist

LHH is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 90 day contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Job SummaryThe Billing Specialist will oversee all aspects of the billing process, from generating and distributing invoices to resolving billing issues and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will be organized, have a solid understanding of accounting principles, and possess strong analytical skills. You will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and timely billing, supporting the financial health of our organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesInvoice Management: Prepare, issue, and review invoices with accuracy and in accordance with company standards.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile billing accounts to ensure consistency between invoices and payments.
Customer Communication: Address client inquiries about billing issues, discrepancies, or payment terms, providing professional and timely responses.
Collections Support: Work with the accounts receivable team to follow up on outstanding balances and assist in collections efforts when necessary.
Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, working with other departments as needed to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized records of billing transactions and prepare periodic reports on billing activities for management.
Policy Compliance: Ensure all billing practices adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related field.
Skills:
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on providing customer support.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and handle confidential information responsibly.
Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
