Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Benefits Analyst in Simi Valley, California, United States. The role is within the Insurance Benefits industry and requires a detail-oriented individual who can efficiently handle data reconciliation and client service functions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining data integrity, creating reports, collaborating with team members, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities: Accurately and timely reconcile substantial eligibility/billings/invoices between the organization, client, and health insurance carriers Execute monthly monetary ACH payment amounts to all plan stakeholders Research and analyze financial variances as a result of the premium reconciliation process and takes appropriate corrective action Standardizes and documents the most efficient reconciliation processes Maintains accurate and organized paper and electronic files with supporting documents Ensures data integrity by maintaining appropriate controls for audit verification Keeps updated with the latest methodologies, procedures, and client-specific information Coordinates premium reconciliation every month to meet contractual or other specified deadlines Interfaces with internal staff to resolve system issues affecting the premium reconciliation process and timetable Create reports for internal teams and external clients Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data Structure large data sets to find usable and reportable information Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information Create presentations and reports based on data findings Assist with preparing data for special projects, including health fairs, open enrollment and client communications Available to participate in team and/or client meetings, in-person and through virtual means Collaborate with Account Managers and Consultants via review processes Set and meet internal and client service deadlines Maintain and analyze large data demographic information for clients’ membership Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, such as HIPAA Demonstrate professionalism in responsible management of sensitive information Back up to accounting department.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, math, statistics, data analytics or related field required Minimum five years’ data analyst and accounting experience required Advanced Excel skills required Candidate must be capable of handling detail-critical tasks with accuracy and timeliness Candidate should possess proficiency in computer literacy Candidate should have a team-oriented mindset and work well with other team members to find answers through data pulling Ability to maintain a systematic process to organize documents and files Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal communications Ability to work in high-pressure situations Experience with statistical software Reporting and data visualization skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to solve problems, overcome barriers, and see problems/issues through to resolution Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines Prior large group benefits administration experience is a plus, but not required Ability to be in onsite in an office setting Monday through Friday
