We are seeking a Front Desk Coordinator to join our team in the Healthcare industry. This role is based in Charleston, South Carolina and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be supervising the front desk staff and assisting with the front desk responsibilities. For this position, management experience is required and OBGYN experience is preferred.


Responsibilities:


• Greet and assist visitors in a professional manner

• Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel

• Schedule appointments and manage provider's calendars

• Perform weekly/monthly rounding with staff

• Manage insurance cards and ID capture with precision

• Answer inquiries and provide information to clients or visitors

• Oversee the efficient operation of office equipment and phone systems

• Supervise a team of receptionists

• Ensure the accurate processing of customer applications and maintenance of customer records

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word
• Experience using athenahealth or similar medical software for scheduling and maintaining patient records
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals
• Prior experience answering multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service, including concierge services
• Proficient in data entry with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to manage and organize files in a systematic and efficient manner
• Experience in team management, including coordinating schedules and delegating tasks
• Specific knowledge or experience in OBGYN settings is highly advantageous
• Demonstrable ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
• Available to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as the front desk needs to be staffed 24/7
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
