Job Type: Contract (40 hrs a week)

Worker Schedule: Hybrid position: 4 days onsite/ 1 day remote each week

First Shifts:  7:30 AM - 4:30 PM 

Job Description:

Responsibilities / MAJOR PURPOSE:

  • Supports various Human Resources processes at the unit/site.
  •  This is a well-grounded, middle seasoned level of Human Resources Professional focusing on analysis and assisting managers/employees in resolving issues. This job exercises independent judgment based on both education and experience.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Assists and supports managers and employees in regard to resolving Human Resource issues.
  • Supports a number of Human Resource processes/procedures in the major Human Resource areas such as employee relations, the human resource aspects of the unit strategic plan, compensation and benefits, staffing and employee development, training and development, safety and health, legal compliance and employee communications.
  • May specialize in one or more of these sub-areas.
  • Participates in staffing and workforce planning activities such as establishing job requirements, candidate selection and interviewing for various levels of responsibility.
  • Counsels and advises management on the interpretation of Human Resource /Company policies and procedures. Collects and analyzes information/data to make appropriate decisions.
  • Conducts/coordinates delivery of training courses utilizing both internal and external resources to provide tools to meet needs.
  • Typically certified to deliver a variety of Deere approved courses.
  • Participates in and/or leads projects to achieve the unit/site Human Resource strategic and tactical goals.

Skill Set Requirements:

  •  Must be able to learn/understand Power BI and Excel, and have a willingness to learn new tools as needed
  • Must understand project management fundamentals and planning processes
  •  Must be able to help identify and address repeat, on-going issues to reduce administration and improve results
  •  Must be organized
  •  Must have strong communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

MILITARY OUTREACH COORDINATOR :

  • Facilitate and coordinate the company side military outreach program and hiring process
  •  Track candidate status in Share Point tracking table
  •  Provide monthly updates on military hiring programs
  •  Confirm and improve key steps in military hiring process
  •  Provide updates to the team on a QRTLY basis
  •  Manage relationships with key military VSO partners
  •  Coordinate military career fair support for these organizations


WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY GIVING COORDINATOR

  •  Track youth apprentice program participation and results
  •  Organize data using a SP table integration
  •  Provide annual updates using Power BI
  •  Assist in coordinating outreach efforts when needed
  •  Support FIRST Grant Application Process
  • Initial grant review with assignment by community
  •  Follow-up with JD reviewers to ensure timely completion
  •  Develop and distribute reports showing status and results
  •  Coordinate FIRST Mentor assignments
  •  Work with Inspire Site coordinators and FIRST community grant reviewers to document and streamline over time, a process for matching mentors with FIRST teams
  •  Develop and distribute reports showing status and results
  •  Inspire Program Support
  •  Help with the planning of large meetings including quarterly global Inspire support team, Inspire Executive Council, annual Inspire – CSR Conference, and FIRST World Championship.
  •  Monitor and respond to shared inbox addressing repeat questions.
  •  Oversee updates needed with Inspire support team members that change roles.
  •  Be a subject matter expert and resource for employee giving programs; be able to assist in answering employee questions/issues, support site maintenance, create aids and tutorials, and be able to pull data for unit support and engagement.
  •  Support communications and training for  social responsibility ambassadors.
  •  Assist in PO requests for Community Relations budget.
  •  Support ambassadors with unit volunteer events.
  •  Provide support for events as needed.
