Hannah Savage with Robert Half is seeking a skilled Benefits Specialist based out of Rochester, New York. As a Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and administering employee benefits programs. You will work closely with the Benefits Manager, acting as their right hand, ensuring that our employees have access to the best possible benefits and support. Your role will involve handling all aspects of benefits administration, including enrollment, claims processing, and employee inquiries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a couple of years of experience in benefits administration who is looking to grow within a supportive, mission-driven organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and concerns, providing prompt and accurate information.
  • Support the Benefits Manager in the planning and implementation of benefits policies and programs.
  • Coordinate and manage the benefits enrollment process, including new hires, annual open enrollment, and life event changes.
  • Process benefit claims and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of benefits communications to employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure seamless benefits administration.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and recommend program enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a huge plus
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and ADP
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service to our employees.
