We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to assist a local healthcare organization as an Admissions Coordinator. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Daily updates of potential admissions thrice a day - morning, noon, and end of day. Provide updates to the staff via email.
  • Notify Clinical Liaisons of any new activity or referrals that come in while they are out in the field.
  • Handle benefits requests - this involves communicating with the insurance verification team and directing them to process benefit checks for potential patients.
  • Monitor and respond on various online platforms where admissions referrals come in.
  • Complete extensive data entry to update and maintain digital files.

Requirements:

  • Good typing and attention to detail.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to handle a busy work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external communication, which could involve interactions with patients and their families over the phone.
  • Past experience in a similar role in the medical or related field would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with medical transcription or medical terminology is a plus

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm

**Duration of this project is 3 months**
