Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at the Lakehouse Hotel and Golf Resort. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest hospitality and service to our patrons in the bar area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, engaging them in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Follow all steps of service as defined by company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Learn and maintain expert knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menus, as well as general restaurant knowledge.
  • Take guest food and/or beverage orders, both in-person and over the phone, and input orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.
  • Maintain the dining area, pre-bussing and bussing tables, keeping dining rooms clean and orderly.
  • Clear and reset tables, maintaining high sanitation standards.
  • Familiarize yourself with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining a clean and attractive bar.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints, notifying management as needed.
  • Maintain a composed and professional attitude at all times.
  • Become familiar with all returning guests, knowing their preferences and special requests.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds, using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and answer food and beverage related questions from guests.
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Can perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and other items.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.
