Key Responsibilities

As the primary bar service provider at Brickmans, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized bar area, taking and serving food and drink orders, and ensuring high standards of hospitality.

THE ROLE OF A BARTENDER INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Welcoming guests warmly and providing attentive service throughout their visit.
  • Delivering outstanding hospitality to ensure a memorable experience for all patrons.
  • Adhering to established service protocols as outlined by company standards.
  • Acquiring in-depth knowledge of the food, beverage, and wine selections to effectively answer guest inquiries and offer recommendations.
  • Processing guest orders both in-person and via phone, accurately entering them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Managing cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy in charges and providing correct change.
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including pre-bussing and bussing tables, to uphold a tidy environment.
  • Resetting tables and adhering to stringent sanitation practices.
  • Refilling water glasses, polishing utensils and glassware, and delivering food to tables.
  • Promoting menu items, specials, beverages, and desserts to enhance sales.
  • Mixing ingredients, garnishing drinks, and providing tailored beverage suggestions.
  • Staying updated on the latest mixology trends, bar equipment, and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and appealing bar.
  • Addressing guest concerns promptly and escalating unresolved issues to management.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Building rapport with returning guests by remembering their preferences and special requests.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.
CORE COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:
  • A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic math and computer proficiency.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse individuals.
  • Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and address food and beverage inquiries from guests.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality service.
  • Capability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages.
  • Adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is essential.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
