We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at the Lakehouse Hotel and Golf Resort. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest hospitality and service to our patrons in the bar area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, engaging them in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Follow all steps of service as defined by company SOPs to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.
- Learn and maintain expert knowledge of our food, wine, and beverage menus, as well as general restaurant knowledge, to answer guest questions and provide recommendations.
- Take guest food and/or beverage orders, both in-person and over the phone, and input orders into the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.
- Maintain the dining area, pre-bussing and bussing tables, keeping dining rooms clean and orderly.
- Clear and reset tables, maintaining high sanitation standards.
- Familiarize yourself with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and attractive bar.
- Address and resolve any guest complaints, notifying management as needed.
- Maintain a composed and professional attitude at all times.
- Become familiar with returning guests, knowing their preferences and special requests.
- At least 2 years of bartending experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification.
- Must be organized and able to multi-task.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Possess an energetic, positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Able to communicate with individuals from different backgrounds, using strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn the menu thoroughly and answer food and beverage related questions from guests.
- Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Can perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and other items.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business demands.
