Job Summary

MMP Staffing Services is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team. As a Substance Use Counselor, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Your expertise will help clients develop coping strategies and work towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for clients with substance use disorders
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address addiction and related issues
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling
  • Certification or licensure in the District of Columbia (e.g., LCPC, CAC, LGPC, LCSW, LGSW, LICSW)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
