Substance Use Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team at MMP Staffing. As a Substance Use Counselor, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders, helping them achieve recovery and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address substance use disorders
- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to clients, focusing on coping skills, relapse prevention, and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or counseling
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with substance use disorders
- Certification or licensure in the District of Columbia, such as LCPC, CAC, or LCSW
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and occasional on-call duties. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
