Job Summary

This position as Education Administrator A/Data Coordinator will provide support to the Student Success and Wellness Bureau within the Public Education Department (PED) and will provide reporting oversight of the National School Lunch Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate, analyze, produce, and submit reports to USDA, Governors Office, and or constituent requests.
  • Provide Technical Assistance and trainings to Districts, Schools, staff related to data for the NSLP.
  • Process School Food Authority Eligibility documents for Program and free and reduced eligibility submitted within USDA regulations.
  • Ensure that all data submitted in the NM PED data collection are accurate for every reporting period; have oversight of the SSWB Direct Certification Claim and application system; and ensure funding going to all School Food Authorities is correct.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration or Business Administration and five (5) years of experience as a teacher and/or program administrator.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required. Some occasional travel is required for meetings and conferences.
