Job Title: Programs Coordinator

Join The Food Depot team as a Programs Coordinator, responsible for managing the Casita de Comida program and The Food Depot Pantry at three locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee distributions, track program data, and monitor inventory and restocking for the Casita de Comida program.
  • Manage client services via the PantrySoft platform, including registering clients for distributions, managing federal program information, and providing excellent client communication.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with The Food Depot Operations team and drivers to ensure successful TFD Pantry distributions.
  • Oversee budgets for the Casita de Comida and TFD Pantry programs, communicating necessary adjustments and needs to The Food Depot's leadership and program partners.
  • Coordinate the execution of food distributions at specific Food Mobile/Food Mobile 2.0 locations, overseeing the distribution of food, supervising the client experience, and tracking program data.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of The Food Depot.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with coworkers, managers, and customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interface with diverse internal and external customers.
  • Computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite of tools.
Work Environment:

The Programs Coordinator will spend 50% of the time actively preparing for or working at food distributions, 35% of the time working at a stationary computer terminal in a shared office space handling data and administrative tasks, 15% talking on the telephone interfacing with clients, community partners, program coordinators, and volunteers.

The position functions in an office and warehouse environment, and requires travel to other facilities within the service area in a company vehicle.

The employee will work at public-facing food distributions periodically, including lifting parcels of food of approximately 30 pounds and being required to stand for time periods > 3 hours.
