JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Paratransit Bus Operator is to deliver safe transportation services to the disabled and senior community, ensuring their travel needs are met with care and reliability. Our drivers are dedicated to providing excellent customer service while ensuring passenger safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
  • Deliver door-to-door transportation for passengers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all passengers are securely fastened and assist with boarding and disembarking.
  • Welcome passengers, manage fare collection, and maintain a secure environment.
  • Accurately report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Hold a valid California driver's license in good standing with the ability to obtain a CDL permit.
  • Pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Successfully complete a DOT Physical and drug screening.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and a strong emphasis on attendance.
  • Be adaptable with work schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role involves outdoor work and requires physical activities that include significant use of arms, repetitive hand and wrist motions, and mobility tasks such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Candidates may be required to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, with access to safety protective gear.
