Job Overview

Southern Ideal Door, a leading wholesale supplier of steel garage doors, motors, and accessories, is seeking a highly motivated Sales Representative to join their team. This role will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships across the southeastern United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with potential and existing clients to discuss their needs and present our products.
  • Develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Follow up on leads and sales opportunities to close deals and achieve sales targets.

Travel and Territory Management:

  • Travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Stay overnight in out-of-town locations as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Manage travel schedules and expenses efficiently.

Product Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our residential and commercial garage door products and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
  • Provide clients with accurate and detailed product information and recommendations.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the garage door industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial garage door products is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively and stay overnight in out-of-town locations.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
