POSITION OVERVIEW


The primary objective of this role is to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems across various retail establishments, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing product loss while prioritizing partner satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the refrigeration and HVAC systems for multiple retail sites.


Conduct repairs on equipment including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and both electrical and mechanical control devices in a manner that is safe, efficient, and timely, consistently exceeding customer expectations.

Establish and maintain effective communication with Site Management to keep them informed of all ongoing maintenance tasks.


Collaborate with the Site Management team to ensure that all scheduled maintenance activities are communicated clearly, including diagnosing equipment malfunctions and addressing any operational deficiencies of mechanical systems to guarantee high-quality performance.

Provide timely updates regarding job progress.

Proactively check for and repair refrigerant leaks.

Uphold all assets under your responsibility to the highest standards.

Perform preventive maintenance checks on refrigeration and HVAC systems promptly as assigned.

Monitor and document refrigerant usage within designated locations.

Ensure cleanliness and safety in machine and electrical rooms.

Communicate effectively with retail personnel to maintain the integrity of refrigerated products.

Participate in the company's after-hours emergency response program.

Assist in troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Complete equipment inventories as required.

Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Requirements:

Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience with rack systems, display cases, and walk-in units is highly desirable.

Journeyman certification in refrigeration and HVAC systems, or equivalent practical experience.

EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Class I & II or universal).

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Ability to comprehend and follow English instructions.

Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain such authorization.

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Extensive knowledge of supermarket rack refrigeration equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing systems is preferred.

Demonstrated basic computer skills, including familiarity with Refrigeration Controller Technology, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.

Proven self-motivation and a successful track record in previous roles and responsibilities.

Above-average troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and make sound decisions promptly.

Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities.

High standards of integrity and reliability.
