Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler who will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and precise receipt and storage of materials essential for our manufacturing operations. This position is vital to the production workflow and requires a thorough understanding of material handling processes and the overall manufacturing cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized schedule for incoming materials and devise strategies for their efficient off-loading.
  • Accurately process departmental requisitions and distribute components throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials upon receipt.
  • Review and verify purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Ensure all material documentation is complete and properly filed.
  • Adhere to established material control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with procurement personnel, supervisors, and relevant production teams regarding material deliveries.
  • Manage material inventory and oversee proper storage practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and integrate information efficiently.
  • Proficient in interacting with various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage schedules effectively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe applications.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with attention to grammar and spelling.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years operating a forklift.
  • Prior experience in construction, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations is a plus.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks that may include a full range of mobility in both upper and lower body, reaching overhead, and working in various positions such as standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. Candidates must be capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment as needed, with the ability to lift up to 70 pounds throughout the workday. The position may expose employees to typical shop elements, including noise, dust, fumes, and odors, and requires a commitment to performing physically demanding tasks in a primarily production-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is $34.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
