Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Material Handler. This role is crucial for ensuring the precise and effective management of materials that support our manufacturing operations. The Warehouse Material Handler plays a vital role within the production team, requiring an in-depth understanding of materials and the overall manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized schedule for incoming materials and develop strategies for efficient off-loading.
  • Accurately process departmental requisitions and distribute components throughout the facility.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials upon receipt.
  • Review and verify purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Ensure all material documentation is completed correctly.
  • Adhere to established material control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with procurement personnel, supervisors, and production staff regarding material deliveries.
  • Oversee material inventory management and storage solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and integrate information effectively.
  • Ability to interact confidently with all levels of the organization.
  • Capability to meet critical deadlines and manage schedules efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, demonstrating proper grammar and spelling.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of forklift operation experience.
  • Previous experience in construction, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations is a plus.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks essential to the role. Employees must possess full mobility in both upper and lower body, with the ability to reach overhead and work in various positions such as standing, bending, and kneeling. The role involves handling materials and equipment, with the capability to lift up to 70 pounds as necessary. Employees may encounter typical shop conditions, including noise, dust, and fumes, and should be prepared for a physically active workday.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $34.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
