Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Material Handler. This role is essential for ensuring the precise and efficient management of materials critical to our manufacturing processes. The Warehouse Material Handler plays a vital role within the production team, requiring a thorough understanding of materials and the manufacturing workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized schedule for incoming materials and develop strategies for their off-loading.
  • Accurately process department requisitions and distribute components throughout the facility.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials.
  • Review and verify purchase orders.
  • Ensure all material documentation is accurately completed.
  • Adhere to established material control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with procurement personnel, supervisors, and relevant production staff regarding material deliveries.
  • Oversee material inventory and storage practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and integrate information effectively.
  • Proficient in interacting with various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating proper grammar and spelling.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years operating a forklift.
  • Prior experience in construction, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving is advantageous.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position requires a full range of mobility in both upper and lower body, including the ability to reach overhead and perform various physical tasks such as stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting. The employee must be capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment as necessary. The role may require lifting up to 70 pounds during the workday. The work environment may expose the employee to noise, dust, fumes, and odors typical of a manufacturing setting.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $22.00 to $34.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
