Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of construction projects from inception to closeout. Your primary focus will be on ensuring timely project completion, maintaining quality standards, and developing the skills of our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with owners, operations management, and estimators to understand project requirements and criteria.
  • Manage the overall project management process, including cost control, schedule management, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Perform thorough job buyouts, including drafting of subcontracts, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project progress and status.
  • Supervise project teams, including superintendents, project engineers, and project accountants, to ensure accountability and effective communication.
  • Control project costs and maximize profit through effective cost management and negotiation with subcontractors.
  • Resolve claims for extras and/or credits with owners, subcontractors, and material suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry, with varying levels of project size, scope, and complexity.
  • Thorough understanding of plans and specifications, with experience in controlling job costs and adhering to progress schedules.
  • Strong interpretation and management skills for subcontract language and overall subcontract management.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities and tight deadlines in high-demand operating environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Project, Viewpoint, CIS, or similar applications.
  • Willingness to travel is essential.
