Position Overview:
The Front Office Agent plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our guests. This position is responsible for ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process while maximizing room occupancy and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous responses to guest inquiries regarding amenities, local attractions, and services.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Stay informed about current rates, packages, and special promotions.
  • Maintain familiarity with in-house groups and events.
  • Monitor and manage closed-out and restricted dates effectively.
  • Gather necessary information for room reservations and follow established procedures for quoting rates.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hospitality terminology and emergency protocols.
  • Facilitate check-ins and checkouts with a friendly and efficient approach.
  • Utilize proper communication etiquette when interacting with team members.
  • Master the Front Desk computer system to manage guest information accurately.
  • Complete all tasks outlined in the shift checklist promptly.
  • Conduct bucket checks, room rate verifications, and housekeeping reports as required.
  • Prepare and balance closing paperwork in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Promote and maintain guest programs and hotel promotions.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit box inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of college coursework in a related field is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a hotel or related environment is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is essential.
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Maintain a warm and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to listen attentively and address concerns raised by guests and staff.
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Regular attendance is expected in compliance with hotel standards.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with hotel regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Focus on productivity and assist in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate operational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Show initiative in addressing guest needs and operational requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Compensation:
$23.00/hr.
