Position Overview:

The Front Desk Agent is integral to our guest services team, responsible for enhancing guest experiences and driving revenue through effective room sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly acknowledge and address guest inquiries and needs.
  • Maintain uniform standards and adhere to appearance guidelines.
  • Follow established safety and security protocols diligently.
  • Promote a welcoming and service-oriented environment during all guest interactions.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding hotel amenities, directions, and local attractions.
  • Manage reservations in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Stay informed about hotel sales strategies and promotional offers.
  • Assign rooms while considering any special requests from guests.
  • Register guests, process payments, and ensure meticulous record-keeping.
  • Handle messages, cash, and credit transactions with precision.
  • Post charges to guest accounts accurately.
  • Safeguard guest valuables when necessary.
  • Communicate any changes in room status to relevant team members.
  • Assist with valet and luggage services as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Rooms and Front Desk Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

  • 6-12 months of relevant experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality sector is advantageous.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong listening and comprehension skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Able to address customer concerns with empathy and a positive attitude.
