Position Overview:

The Quality Technician C is responsible for executing inspections, evaluations, and audits of procured components, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with established specifications. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine the acceptability of units, test setups, or systems during both in-process and final assembly stages. The technician will maintain necessary documentation and conduct sampling and testing of incoming materials and assembly builds. Additionally, performance data will be reviewed and reported to ensure that raw materials, in-process items, and finished products adhere to company and testing standards. The technician will also assist in defining inspection methods and procedures, and may interact with customer quality representatives or suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, evaluations, and audits of purchased components, materials, and assemblies.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to approve or reject units.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and perform sampling and testing of components and raw materials.
  • Review and report performance data to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Establish inspection methods and procedures.
  • Collaborate with customer quality representatives or suppliers.
  • Execute receiving inspection transactions, review material certifications, and complete inspection reports.
  • Analyze measurement results and provide detailed reports to engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Work closely with program teams to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance quality processes and standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in using CMM software, preferably Zeiss CALYPSO or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Keyence inspection machines.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of post-secondary education with at least 6 years of related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with various inspection tools and methodologies.
