Job Summary

Pactiv Evergreen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the Team Leader in accomplishing the team's overall mission, leading natural work teams in day-to-day operations, and ensuring productivity, operations, safety, quality, and team effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a line and ensure that lines are running well, following line conditions, standard operating procedures, proper settings, etc.
  • Monitor scrap generation and line downtime and line efficiency
  • Resolve non-poly issues with the warehouse
  • Ensure Bill of Material compliance
  • Ensure troubleshooting process is consistently followed and monitors ongoing repairs. Supports preventative maintenance, tool changes
  • Enforce safety rules, GMP and the use of proper PPE
  • Conduct investigations on safety incidents (Accidents, Fires, Spills, Near Misses) and notifies management of all safety incidents
  • Coordinate training for new employees and temporary personnel
  • Verify quality checks are completed by operators as required
  • Assign housekeeping duties to all operators
  • Handle personnel issues, documenting all issues, and handle conflicts between employees. Recommend necessary disciplinary actions to Team Leader and/or Production Manager
  • Handle operator performance issues, counseling employees as needed
