Onex Inc. is in search of a proficient Industrial Electrician responsible for troubleshooting and rectifying problems related to electrical machinery. The ideal candidate will utilize diagnostic instruments to identify the source of issues and employ power tools to resolve them. A deep understanding of electrical systems and a hands-on approach are essential for this role. The successful Industrial Electrician will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems and components within our manufacturing facility, ensuring peak performance and safety in a high-temperature setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Execute the installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical wiring, devices, and fixtures, including high-voltage systems, control panels, and instrumentation tailored for high-temperature furnace operations.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Identify electrical malfunctions and implement corrective measures to restore functionality. Respond swiftly to equipment failures and breakdowns, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted production.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and industry standards, particularly those pertinent to high-temperature operations. Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet relevant codes and regulations.
  • Design Enhancements: Contribute to the design and execution of electrical system upgrades and modifications aimed at improving performance, efficiency, and reliability of high-temperature furnace systems.
  • Documentation: Keep precise records of electrical tasks, including inspections, repairs, and modifications. Update technical documentation and schematics as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work in close partnership with maintenance teams, engineers, and other personnel to synchronize electrical work and support overall facility operations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members as required.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine preventive maintenance assessments on electrical systems and components to foresee and alleviate potential issues before they disrupt operations.


Qualifications:

  • Electrician Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Training - training provided.
  • Valid US Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Respirator Fit Testing.
  • Frequent physical handling of equipment and materials.
  • Ability to lift or manage materials generally weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Stamina for physical exertion over extended periods.
  • Capability to lift or manage equipment and materials generally weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug screen and be subject to random Drug Testing upon hire.
  • Adherence to PPE requirements in field environments.

Work Environment:

  • Travel approximately 75% of the time.
  • Indoor industrial setting.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Work in high-temperature conditions.
  • Risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Exposure to high noise levels.
