About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee a significant Underground Utility Project in San Jose, California.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the underground storm and sewer utility operations, ensuring that the project runs smoothly and efficiently.

This position provides the chance to lead a project from inception to successful completion, collaborating closely with our internal team and the Prime Contractor.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to completion and closeout, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and budgetary requirements.


Communication and Liaison:

Act as the main contact point between our organization and the Prime Contractor, building strong relationships and facilitating effective communication and collaboration.


Safety and Quality Management:

Ensure the project meets all safety and quality standards, taking overall responsibility for compliance with relevant protocols.


Contractual Oversight:

Understand and follow contracts, plans, and specifications, ensuring the project remains on schedule and fulfills all contractual commitments.


Issue Resolution:

Evaluate complex challenges and make informed decisions promptly to keep the project on track and within budget, aligning with both project and organizational goals.


Team Leadership:

Direct and supervise the project team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful task execution.


Resource Coordination:

Assist management with equipment needs and other project requirements, ensuring all resources are available to meet project objectives.


Company Representation:

Uphold the company's values and standards, ensuring all team members adhere to these principles.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent education and experience totaling 14 years.


Professional Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a Project Manager capacity or similar role managing teams.


Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of underground utility operations, with the capability to effectively manage project-specific challenges.

Communication Proficiency:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal team members and external stakeholders.


Software Skills:
Proficient in computer applications, including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.

Organizational Abilities:
Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
