Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Underground Utility Locator. This position offers a competitive starting wage ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, along with weekly pay, comprehensive training, and the provision of a company vehicle and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Utility Locator, your primary duties will include:

1. Utilizing a laptop or other devices to manage and document excavation notices, both during standard hours and after hours.
2. Reading and interpreting utility maps to accurately identify the type and size of underground utilities.
3. Communicating effectively with excavators, utility representatives, and company personnel regarding underground facilities.
4. Operating electronic detection equipment to locate and mark underground utilities within specified accuracy limits.
5. Performing light excavation as needed to expose buried utilities.
6. Providing precise documentation and sketches related to all locates completed.
7. Responding to excavation notices in accordance with established time requirements.
8. Maintaining a professional appearance while operating company vehicles safely.
9. Following all safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid State driver's license with an acceptable MVR record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment requirements.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment.
- Capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carrying electronic locating equipment for extended periods.
