This role may be affiliated with the Operating Engineers Union, providing 40 hours per week of fringe benefits, whether you choose to join the union or not. Should you opt for union membership, your benefits and retirement plans will be managed by the union.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Underground Construction, specifically in Pipelines (Sewer, Water, Storm Drains)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects ranging from $5M to $15M from inception to completion
  • Experience overseeing self-performed work in wet underground utilities
  • Familiarity with various ground and site conditions

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage underground utility projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure ongoing collaboration
  • Oversee project cost management
  • Maintain a three-week look-ahead schedule for project planning
  • Supervise subcontractors and manage equipment/material suppliers
  • Participate in coordination and progress meetings with subcontractors and owners, including discussions on change orders
  • Resolve significant disputes with vendors and subcontractors
  • Perform additional field duties and assignments as required
