This esteemed underground utility contractor, recognized for its expertise in wet utilities including water, sewer, and storm drain, is seeking a Superintendent to enhance their dynamic workforce. The ideal candidate will possess over 7 years of construction experience specifically in underground utilities.

This role may be associated with the Operating Engineers Union, providing 40 hours per week of benefits, whether you choose to join the union or not. Should you opt for union membership, they will manage your benefits and retirement plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Underground Construction, particularly in Pipelines (Sewer, Water, Storm Drains)
  • Demonstrated capability in overseeing projects valued between $5M and $15M from inception to completion
  • Experience managing self-performing teams in wet underground utilities
  • Familiarity with various ground and site conditions

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage underground utility projects and/or multiple assignments
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to foster ongoing collaboration
  • Ensure project cost management and control
  • Maintain a three-week look-ahead schedule for project timelines
  • Oversee subcontractors and coordinate with equipment/material suppliers
  • Participate in subcontractor and owner coordination meetings, addressing change orders
  • Resolve significant disputes with vendors and subcontractors
  • Perform additional field duties and responsibilities as needed
