Job Title: Group Sales Director

As a Group Sales Director at Dairy Farmers of America, you will be responsible for leading the effective management of all sales activities and sales teams within the assigned business. Your primary goal will be to meet or exceed established operating company sales volumes and margin objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement business action plans to achieve sales goals aligned with the overall operating company sales plan.
  • Set clear direction for sales activity within your area of responsibility and work with direct reports to establish and continuously improve sales processes.
  • Create a sales environment focused on fact-based selling, category management, and developing strong customer engagement and relationships.
  • Establish sales goals and quotas for teams and individuals and track performance against expectations.
  • Analyze sales volumes and margins and take necessary actions to achieve desired results.
  • Build strong working relationships with others in plant operations, distribution, and business services to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work strategically with sales teams and business partners to grow business with current and prospective customers.
Requirements:
  • Advanced understanding of syndicated data, sales, and marketing reports.
  • Ability to analyze sales volumes and margins and make decisions based on data-driven insights.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and direct sales teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
